C.R. Bard-Davol hernia mesh lawsuits have been reviewed by the United States Judicial Panel on Multi-District Litigation (JPML). Upon due consideration, the JPML selected the Southern District of Ohio as the venue in which C.R. Bard-Davol surgical mesh claims would be heard by the federal court system.
The Southern District of Ohio (SDO) is part of the 6th Circuit of the U.S. court system, and appeals are heard by the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Consolidation of a multitude of C.R. Bard-Davol hernia repair lawsuits was done in accordance with 28 U.S.C. § 1407. Newly filed cases are expected to likewise be transferred to the SDO.
